Road to California 2013…continues…

YIKES!  When it rains it pours…and yes there WAS rain yesterday but we didn’t notice…we were at the Country Loft Quilt Shop and The Fat Quarters Shop in Vista!  I grow giddy just THINKING about these two shops!!  I will have to give you a FULL report of our little Shop Hops…not just from yesterday but from last week too…a total of FIVE shops!!   Each shop let me take pictures…in fact, many encouraged me to take pictures! Have I got a feast for you…BUT first I need to finish off the Road to CA Quilt Show Quilt Show…

Have a gander at this APPLIQUED quilt…amazing!!  There were a lot of incredible quilts at this show…my first question was always ‘I wonder how long this one took to make??’

This one was a BIG winner at the show…just LOOK at all that applique!  OMGosh…it was magnificent!

This one was my favourite…loved the simple lines…look at the way the quilter created the hills under each building and LOVED the fence around the quilt!!  Truly stunning in it’s simplicity!!

Did we enjoy the show??  You bet we did!!  It continues to get better and better!!  Claire also said that it was more than even SHE could could have imagined!!

SEW…here’s our motley crew…waiting to be picked up!  Tons of bags…from fabric, to patterns, to wool and batting… there were even TWO sewing machines!  Yup, the quilting economy is alive and well…and we certainly did our part to help it along!! :0)
