Heritage Happenings…

There was lots of lovely Show and Tell at Heritage Quilting this week…

Just look at what Genny was working on!!  The smallest Dresden Plates that I have ever seen!!  I put a penny down so that you could see the width of each blade!!  P1180228

Genny is sewing these blocks by hand!  And look at how organized she is!!

I put the blue and red blocks together so that you could get the idea of how each flower will look and the size of the finished block.. but when Genny is finished each plate will be one colour.  Scrappiness at it VERY best!  Can’t wait to see this one finished!

P1180229Another wonderful scrappy quilt!  Isn’t this quilt spectacular!!

P1180232

I have GOT to zoom in for a close-up!  The sashing makes this quilt sing loud and clear!  Perfect!

P1180233

A different kind of scrappiness…like a walk in the woods!

  P1180235

This beauty is a Charity quilt…wonderful colours!

P1180236

This Coin Quilt is also going to Charity too.

P1180237

You have GOT to see this quilt…in the middle is a panel, then the quilter kicked it up a notch…she matched fabric to the panel and made quartered circles(not sure what those circles are called…)

 P1180238

Here’s a better look at the circles…great idea and really adds spark and interest to this quilt, for sure!  I REALLY like this one!!

P1180239

Nine patch at it’s best!!  Gorgeous!P1180240 This quilt was the result of a Mystery Quilt Challenge that Heritage had this winter!!  Love it!!

 P1180243

The same quilter who shared her Mystery Quilt, also brought in an old and cherished Cathedral Window Quilt that her mother had made many years ago.  She made the quilt out of old scraps of clothing and remnants from old projects!!  Magnificent!

P1180244 P1180245

I have added ‘Doing a Cathedral Window quilt’ onto my Bucket List…maybe in the form of a wee pillow?? :o)

P1180246

Speaking of WEE…This John Deer Quilt was made for a wee grandson who loves tractors!!  I think he is going to LOVE it!

P1180247

A Scrappy I Spy Quilt…P1180248  And finally this wonderful beauty…a wedding quilt lovingly made for a grandson and his new bride!!

P1180251-002

And it’s machine quilted all over with…hearts!  All together now…“Ahhhhhh!”

P1180250

Thanks Heritage Quilters for another wonderful week of sharing!!  Aren’t they a busy and talented group of quilters!!

This morning I am off to Cloth Castle’s Club day…busy, busy!

Have a terrific Tuesday and Happy Quilting!~P
