You meet the nicest people…

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a hundred times…you meet the nicest people blogging!

Meet my new friend, Val!!  Val has been reading my blog for a few years now and she just happened to win my last give away.  When I asked for her address she replied that she was coming to Palm Springs in January and could we meet!!  Of course I said “YOU BETCHA”!!

So meet we did…we rendezvoused at Starbucks in downtown Palm Springs…and man, what a NICE lady!  Now you would think complete strangers would have a hard time talking for an hour…well not us…nope not one bit!!  We talked like old friends…and before we knew it, over an hour had passed!!

  3. It is so nice that you could meet up with Val.
I have only found people at the shops, so I need to go in more often and find some people who want to get together, would be nice to quilt together with others.

  4. Those socks look so warm and comfortable! I've never had a pair of handknit socks either!
I've met several friends through blogging and it is always so much fun! You already have something in common, so it's not hard to have a conversation.

  5. Yes, Paulette, you DO meet the nicest people in Blogland and am so glad I met you. Still pouring over the Primitive Quilts book and have many ideas dancing in my head. Glad the socks fit, I have been knitting merrily away from Palm Springs to Sacremento. Should have another pair done by the time we hit the lineup for the ferry.

  7. Great sox! Those should keep your tootsies cozy. I haven't started quilting yet but I Russ did buy me some fat quarters. Turns out there is just enough fabric for making a doll dress so at least I am sewing!!

  9. Catching up on my blog reading and OMG...someday I am going to have to go to The Road!!! Your photos were delicious. Thanks for the link to my blog. Was the wool snowflake quilt really as fun and wonderful as it looked in the magazine? I am totally drooling over your purchases...this fabric diet is killing me!

I love the sox! I am always in awe of the knitters I know.
