Club House Quilting..

It was a hot day on the desert but the Clubhouse has AC so we were quite comfy stitching the day away!

Phyllis got her wine runner finished…the colours are perfect for a wine theme, don’t you think?   She can slop and dribble all she wants and no one will notice!

Karen SAYS that she is a beginning quilter…BUT we suspect otherwise!   She is banging off these blocks left, right and centre and doing a super job! She has definitely been bit by the quilting bug!  Look at these wonderful blocks…her grand daughter is going to LOVE this quilt!

As usual Anne has done her homework!  She spent the day putting together her menagerie of animals…her daughter wanted a jungle themed baby quilt to give to her best friend and I think Anne is going to achieve that in this wonderful quilt!  The animals are ALL adorable!!

And look at the prints that Anne has picked to form the jungle background…PERFECT!

Love this print…and it’s a batik!!

Here is the pattern that Anne is using and it is from…

..this book!  Check your bookshelf…I bet you own this book…I know I do!  It’s a keeper!

Gwen also did her homework!  All the blocks that she cut out last week are together… SEW she placed them on the ‘design table’…We all put in our 5 cents worth…

..and once EVERYONE was happy with the placement, Gwen started sewing….

TAH-DA!  Gwen now has a top!  Bet this quilt will be quilted and bound by next Wednesday!  Gwen is donating this quilt to a great cause!  It will be raffled off during the RV Park’s Annual Golf Tournament for the Cure (or whatever it’s called…who pays attention~ it’s golf!)  Way to go, Gwen!! You ROCK!!

So there you have it…another fun day quilting in the Clubhouse!

REMINDER!!

Sentimental Stitches has posted the bottom border block for the  Beyond the Cherry Tree Quilt!  This border would look wonderful added to a lot of different quilts…Also check out Lori’s (Humble Quilter) blocks…STUNNING!!  I’m so excited for her…Lori only has ONE more block to go until she has finished this beauty…it’s been a real labour of love!  Way to go, Lori!!

Have a FUN Friday (now where did THAT week go to??) and Happy Quilting!~P
