It’s FAIR TIME…

It’s that time of year again…time for the ol’ Country Fair or in Blogland’s case…The Moda Country Fair Blog Hop 2011!!  It started yesterday with Sandy Gervais sharing a pattern for a sweet little bag to carry to the Fair.

For the rest of the month we can Blog Hop around and see all sorts of fun projects inspired by the country fair, learn interesting tidbits about our favorite designers, pick up new project ideas and maybe even win a prize or two! It's gonna be a fun-filled month with lots of inspiration from the fair!  Yeehaw...my kind of fair!

AND while we are on the subject of FAIRS…this weekend is the Cowichan Fair (the local Fair in Duncan)…remember I missed the registration date to get all SEVEN of my quilts in.  Yesterday as soon as the Fair Grounds opened I took my Settler’s Pride wool quilt in (left the rest at home for next year) and it was accepted LATE!  They were so nice about it too…I didn’t have to beg and grovel that much…and I PROMISED never to be late again!!  :o)  Thanks you ladies…and THANK YOU ANNE! (…don’t tell anyone as this is all on the QT!)

On the quilting front~

Nothing!  Nadda! Not with fabric anyways…buttttttt… it’s a patchwork of sorts…and progress is being made…IMG_9282

We are hoping that one more day and another 50 lb. bag of Keralastic Bonding mortar will finish it off!  I CANNOT wait!  Every bone and muscle in my body is screaming “GET ME OUT OF HERE”!!  It wouldn’t have been that bad a job had it not been for the smashing and removal of the old tile…

..the whole job has been a killer!!  BUT I do love this tile and it looks great with the slate blue walls of our house.

My tiling pants and top can now stand up without me in them!!  SERIOUSLY…I am like the cement man!  They are heading to the trash can when we are finished with this job!

Have a wicked Wednesday and Happy Quilting!~P

  4. No one CANNOT accept that Settler's Pride of yours. They made the right decision.

Tiling looks fantabulous. Do you keep the tiling pants standing up in the corner at night? Would love to see that!
